A dedicated and active member of the Elk Grove community for 30 years, Varinder Singh brings experience and a unique perspective to his role.

Varinder is a product of the Elk Grove Unified School District, having attended Anna Kirchgator Elementary, Smedberg Middle School, and graduating from Florin High School. Now a father to two children in the school district, Varinder is ready to bring his experience to the Board.

He graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Community Regional Development with an emphasis in Policy Planning. Over the course his career with the State of California, he has been deeply involved in various capacities. From being a project manager, to being a supervisor in Information Technology for the Franchise Tax Board, and now the Planning Commissioner for the City of Elk Grove, he hopes to bring his wealth of experience to the Board.
